To the unveiling of a rabid fanfic in motion, quiet___riot

It's Post-war and all is well in the wizarding world. The Muggles, as usual, are none the wiser. And nearly several years ago, a boy -- now a man -- who should have walked with gods disappeared, becoming a ghost amongst humans.

Until today.

Takeshi Kaneshiro

* Why TAKESHI's So Tasty *

'Be Still My Wildly Beating Heart.' An overgenerelization? Or only the specific words that were murmured sotto voce when this tall, dark, and devastatingly handsome actor flashed his easy, boyish smile and had me wanting to learn Mandarin pronto. Every scene without him was wanting, every glimpse of him leaves you begging for more...yet there was something about his flowing raven hair, delicate almond-shaped eyes and rich baritone voice that continued to haunt me even after the credits ended. Did I know him from somewhere else? How? And then as I attempted to settle into an uneasy sleep, the answer struck me like the clean, elegant clean slice of a Samurai's blade. Of course. I "knew" him first as the romantic soft-spoken warrior from the graphic video game epic Onimusha.

B.K.A.: Wind, the dashing playboy officer whose plan to
seduce a cunning criminal backfires stunningly in House of Flying Daggers.

A.K.A.: "Dim Sum," like the delectable smorgasboard, Takeshi offers a variety of tempting reasons to indulge your appetite.

Image hosted by TinyPic.com

A Star is Born: ~~ October 11, 1973 The wholely balanced and even-tempered LIBRAN tends to display unflappable calm and an uncanny ability to remain impartial when called upon for opinion and handing down judgement // in their need for peace (even the falsest sense of it), they do their best to bring about compromise and resolution // those born under this sign have an insatiable curiosity and tend to latch onto their newest cause/project/love with reckless abandon, carelessly throwing all their time and devotion into this interest // sentimental lovers, the Libra may stray into other relationships in a quest for kindness -- rather than sex -- if their current partner is lacking.

Oxymoron: These patient people are not the most verbose, but when they do speak, it tends to be eloquent and to the point. Their stubborn preferences for the ideal mate make it unlike they will even settle for those who are a 9 out of 10. They do not take opposition lying down and can be remarkably hard on themselves if a mistake is discovered.

Image hosted by TinyPic.com

Before He Was 'Wind': He started out as a commercial and film teen idol in the Chinese entertainment industry, honing the cool consummate bachelor attitude that has become his trademark // Takeshi has taken on a number of diverse and sometimes contraversal roles, including that of a gay man whose lover is dying of AIDS in a Japanese drama // he is Asia's most successful actors to date, transistioning from the booming film markets of Hong Kong to Tokyo to Taipei with such ease, it has caused speculation that Takeshi's numerous alias are in fact an coy acknowledgement that he may actually have "doubles" employed to impersonate him.

Silver-Tongued Fox: Takeshi is fluent in several languages, his native tongue being Mandarin (spoken thoroughout greater Taiwan), Japanese, Cantonese, Taiwanese, French, English and Tibetan.

Image hosted by TinyPic.com

Art Imitating Life: Those who may not have heard of this versatile talent may actually already be familiar with his alter ego, Samanosuke, the protagnogist of the video game trilogy Onimusha // the character Samanosuke is not only physically modeled after the statuesque actor, but Takeshi also also provides his voice for both the Japanese and English dialogue.

Picture Perfect: Still doesn't ring a bell? Well, as the international spokesmodel for over a dozen corporations, you just may have gotten a glimpse of one his many billboards for the Mitsubishi Galant, PRADA, or even talking on an Ericsson handset portable phone.

Image hosted by TinyPic.com

Pseudonym: Aside from being nicknamed Aniki, (which generally means "big brother" in Japanese, unless this name is actually the compound of the words ani and ki, which then would make the meaning closer to "animated or life-like tree"), Takeshi is also credited in films under the following names: Jing Chengwu, Sing-Mo Gum and Wu Jincheng.

Outside Looking In: Due to tenuous Japan-China-Taiwan relations, the Taiwanese-born youngster was often bullied in his neighborhood and ostracized in his Japanese school // in his eagerness to escape the hostility he faced and over his mixed heritage, he later studied at the Taipei American School, hoping to excel in English, affording him the ability to travel abroad.

Elijah Jordan Wood

* Why ELIJAH's Electrifying *

How is it that a boy with cherubic good looks, down-to-earth charm and elfish grin managed quietly to develop into a sleek and polished actor -- in Hollywood -- right under the noses of moviegoers, fan and fiends alike? What is the secret behind his success in avoiding the trappings of fame that so many other young child actors before and after him fall victim to? What is his staying power? What was it like to wear furry feet?? At turns playing the extrovert, our adorably elusive Elijah wisely keeps his cards close to his chest, making us wonder what other tricks he has up his sleeves.

B.K.A.: Frodo, the beloved heart-tugging Hobbit who possesses the ability to speak volumes with nothing but his solemn blue eyes.

A.K.A.: "Giggles," dubbed this for his skittish, high-pitched laugh.

Image hosted by TinyPic.com

Star Gazing: January 28, 1981 ~~ The strong-willed, forceful nature of the AQUARIAN causes them to seek truth above all things, though they are honest enough to chabge their opinion once something they believed to be true is proven false // they make tenacious friends and lovers, exuding a quiet, hypnotic force over those who fall prey // though often shy in appearance, fragile emotional bonds run deep. Once broken, however, the Aquarius is quick to temper and slow to forgive // even in accepting the most humble of roles, their natural, understated performances tend to be recognized as the leading part.

The Year of the Rooster: These deep thinkers tend to have other artistic talents they rarely bring to light. They can be a bit eccentric in style, behavior and thought, leaving many of their female admirers wondering. They enjoy giving the outward impression of being socially at ease, though truly they'd love nothing more than to curl up with a good book and indulge in someone else's adventures.

Image hosted by TinyPic.com

Before He Was 'Frodo': It was Elijah's slightly husky voice and magnetic blue eyes which captured the attention of talent scouts, agents and producers at the tender age of six.

Video Arcade Boy #6: Within six months of moving to LA, Elijah won the walk-on role as an extra in the sequel to the 80's time-traveling hit Back to the Future Part II // a mere 2 weeks later, he and another entertainment wannabe, Paula Abdul, would star opposite each other in her debut video, Forever Your Girl.

Image hosted by TinyPic.com

Six Degrees of Elijah Wood: To date, Elijah has starred alongside the following: Dan Akroyd, Sean Astin, Kathy Bates, Thora Birch, Cate Blanchette, Orlando Bloom, Lorraine Brocco, Delta Burke, Jim Carrey, Melanie Griffith, Mel Gibson, Robbie Coltrane ("Hagrid"), Kevin Costner, Macaulay Culkin, Jamie Lee Curtis, Robert Downey, Jr., Richard Dreyfuss, Kirsten Durst, Michael J. Fox, Jeff Goldblum, Josh Harnett, Selma Hayek, Paul (“Hulk”) Hogan, Don Johnson, Kevin Kline, Ian McKellan, Dominic Monaghan, Mandy Moore, Viggo Mortensen, Elizabeth Perkins, Aidan Quinn, Christina Ricci, Claudia Schiffer, Gary Sinese, Liv Tyler, Mike Tyson, Sigourney Weaver, Kate Winslet, Hugo Weaving, The Wu Tang Clan...just to name a few.

Double Vision? Early in his career as a fledgingly actor, Elijah was often mistaken for another thespian with striking blue-eyes and perpetually boyish looks -- Tobey Maguire // ironically, Elijah ended up passing on the lead in the film Pleasantville, the part ultimately going to the then unknown Tobey, whom many flocked to see having mistaken him for -- Elijah, of course.

Image hosted by TinyPic.com

A Real Nailbiter: Elijah reports that scrambling around the damp earthen sets of The Lord of the Rings on his hands and knees nearly cured him of his worst nervous habit: chewing his nails // one pasttime he admits he wished he'd never picked up was smoking, which he claims to have been lured into by his cigarette toting co-star Josh Harnett between takes on the movie The Faculty.

Rites of Passage: filming of The Lord of the Rings trilogy spanned nearly three years, in which time Elijah celebrated his 18th-20th birthdays, acquainting himself with the lively pubs of New Zealand with his fellow rebel-rousing Hobbits // after Sean Astin (b.k.a. "Samwise Gamgee") inadvertently spilled the beans that cast members had the Elvish symbol for nine -- as the original Fellowship consisted of nine who began the journey -- tattooed on various areas of their bodies, Elijah was barraged with requests to play a little Show-and-Tell. After two years, he finally gave in, pushing away the band of his pants to reveal the sacred inking just at the joint of his hip and right thigh.

Image hosted by TinyPic.com

The Piano Man: Elijah is an accomplished pianist and has studied singing professionally...though he doubts anyone will be hearing a CD of his jazz croonings anytime soon.

Win Some, Lose Some...: What film does Elijah still regret having missed out on? Rushmore, the offbeat dramedy about a quirky egotistical loner who manages to belong to every single school organization without actually being befriended. The movie would have afforded Elijah the opportunity to work with one of his favorite all-around actors, Bill Murray.

...Kissed the Girls and Made Them Cry...

Thomas Sturridge

* Why We Find TOM So Tempting *

While we loved the visual eyecandy that was director Mira Nair's vision of 2004's Vanity Fair, many us began to wane well before the anti-climatic ending, seriously debating that jaunt up to the refreshment stand for the time-limited free refill of popcorn or simply allowing our bladders to finally get the best of us. But for those of us how held strong in our resolve to see this through the end, the last ten minutes of the movie seemed determined to redeem itself. With pursed red lips, rebellious raven locks and coolly slitted porcelain blue eyes, little known Tom Sturridge haughtily strolled into our lives as our fallen badboy Jonathon Rhys-Meyer's son and we've never been the same since.

B.K.A.: Little Georgy, whose all too brief screen appearance in Vanity Fair made quiet aristocratic snark the new language of lust.

A.K.A.: "Prettyboy with Cheese," as if he weren't tasty enough, adding him to a scene is like spending that extra 49 cents to have your Quarter Pounder with cheese -- money well spent.

Image hosted by TinyPic.com

A Star is Born: 1986 ~~ Little is known about the deliciously smooth Brit, who has so far bested even the most diligent of snoopers in keeping his much demanded biography under wraps.

Tiger, Tiger, Burning Bright While tigers are naturally suspicious of others, it is only because their sensitive natures are prone to intense, deep thought. They are admired for their powerful command of any situation, most any person arrested by the easy charm and grace. However, they tend to be a bit short-tempered and do not fair well in environments where interaction with others are prolonged.

Image hosted by TinyPic.com

Before He Was 'Georgy': Tom starred along side Ted Danson of Cheers fame in the 1996 television adaptation of Johnathon Swift's Gulliver's Travels, even then stealing scenes in his short, but moving appearance as the weary-worn traveler's son, Tom // Tom needed not look far or long in landing his first acting gig as he happened to be on a first name basis with the Gulliver's Travels director -- first name being "Dad," as in his father, Charles Sturridge.

Roger Dodger: Tom is currently starring in the 1930's era dramedy Being Julia as the sophisticated and terribly jaded son, Roger, proving to be the only voice of wisdom to his mother's (Annette Benning) fiery temper and the product of his father's unfailing poise and exceedingly good looks (Jeremy Iron).

* Why Do YOU think DAN's Rad? *

Is it the flash of his mega-watt smile, his easy charm, those signature baby blues? Tell us what you think before Thursday, Apr 21st and your blurb could be here ^_^

B.K.A.: Harry James Potter, the deliciously angsty, put-upon amd most assuredly reluctant teen hero of the Wizarding world.

A.K.A.: "DanRad," once a clever little way of cutting down his cumbersome name, now an adjective.

Image hosted by TinyPic.com

Star-crossed: July 23, 1989 ~~ Ironically -- or perhaps not -- the sign of the LEO is represented by the lion, thought to be the most independent, courageous and strong-willed of all animals // Leonians tend to think and act bigger than others would normally dare, setting their natural hard-headedness to task when naysayers dog their every step // these spontaneously warm hearted and outgoing people are unfortunately bad judges of character, believing with an exaggerated faith in their followers, which can only lead to heartbreak and disllusionment // as their exuberant passion for luxury, life and lust builds, a caricature of themselves may emerge that no one would want to know -- either in public or private.

The Year of the Snake: These fortunate few rarely worry about money, as they are either born in to it security or strike it rich on their own. They are generally unsure of other people's judgement and prefer to rely on themselves in matters of opinion and life choices. Snakes attract intense attention from both sexes, which only lends to exacerbate their ravenous sexual appetites, making them fickle lovers.

Image hosted by TinyPic.com

Before He Was 'Harry': Perhaps because both his parents were aware of the pitfalls in the entertainment industry, Dan was discouraged from pursing a part in the popular televised BBC adaptation of Oliver Twist // it was the persistance of Harry Potter co-star Maggie Smith which lead to him starring the title character in another small screen classic, David Copperfield. Dan's parents were still adament about keeping their only child grounded and at first turned down this role until the future Professor McGonagall weighed in on the subject // it was while portraying the walk-on/walk-off role of Geoffrey Rush's son in The Tailor of Panama when movie "mum" Jaime Lee Curtis suggested that with glasses, Dan eeriely resembled the spectulative bookcover drawings of Harry Potter.

Splish-Splash, I Was Taking a Bath: In what has most asuredly become the Sweetheart Story of Dan's life, he says he received the life-changing news that he was to be the Harry Potter from his father while in the tub.

Image hosted by TinyPic.com

Imitation of Life: EA games is now boasting that the characters of their simulated version of Goblet of Fire have a more life-like resemblance to the Harry Potter stars than in games before, citing their previous inability to obtain the rights to reproduce the exact likeness of young cast members // the reason why the HP games and movie do not fall in the same line is quite simple and legal: the games are released months before the actual premiere of the movie, so the virtual version purposefully deviates from the storyline to avoid Spoilage -- and lawsuits.

His John Hancock: What do you do if your name is Daniel Jacob Radcliffe? Shorten it to "Dan R." Looking for a creative solution to 'autograph-itis,' Dan is thinking to convert his signatures to this abridged version, hoping this will allow him more signings and less wear and tear of that famous Potter wand hand.

Image hosted by TinyPic.com

Boys Don't Cry: Generally not one to get overly sentimental, Dan admitted to feeling overwhelmed at the screening of Prisoner of Azakaban, succumbing to tears as he saw his name scroll across the screen in the end credits.

Even Child Stars Get the Blues: In terms of longevity, Dan can only hope to break through the daunting and sometimes impenetrable barrier of "Former Child/Teen Star," like fellow actors Christina Ricci and Elijah Wood // he expresses his deepest admiration for the successful, and notably quiet, comeback of 'Home Alone' star Macauley Culkin // Dan does not feel an obligation to continue in the market of "Teen Star Idol" once the Harry Potter series comes to an end. In all likelihood, he will be approximately twenty-two years old by the time of the adaptation of the as-yet-titled Book 7.

Image hosted by TinyPic.com

Sweetie Pie: Although not the biggest fan of cake, Dan felt so moved when he was gifted an emormous cake one birthday by way of a fan club, that he sent back a picture of himself eating a piece. This only spurred droves of baked goods from around the world to be heaped upon his doorstep, all of which he claims to sample and return a photo for proof // Daniel once served tea everyday to the former double for Emma Watson ( -- exactly why was it she left this gig again?)

Prince of Pranks: Never one to act his age -- or rather, acting very much Harry's age -- Dan's become known as a prankster-in-training on the set. Outside of sabotaging co-star Robbie Coltrane's (Hagrid) phone to only read Turkish and putting kick me signs on the half-giant's back, Dan cites that he may have also been responsible for all/some/most/or none of the following: adding lemon juice to coffee urns, poking holes into donut holes, switching name plates on trailers, slipping gags into the pockets his of co-star's wardrobe, pretending to read from a completely revised script, nipping things from other people, then leaving "anonymous tips" as to where they can be found.

Rupert Michael Grint

* Why We'd Ravish RUPERT *

With his wide-eyed enterpretation of the cool, level-headed Ron Weasley, Rupert has managed to single-handedly turn me on to fierce red hair and, strangely enough, reprised a love for chess that I thought I'd chucked when I was in 7th grade. With soft, pouty lips and sturdy, broad shoulders, he's quickly causing eyecandy connoisseurs to say, 'Harry who?' 'The Quiet One' of the Trio, Rupert balances Daniel Radcliffe's unabashed exuberance and Emma Watson's unwavering poise with a down-to-earth, modest tone, his quickly breaking smile as fleeting as the sun on a cloudy day. Appearing at turns pensive, solemn, and guarded, Rupert captures the intrigue of the photogs and fans alike. Hardly one to take himself too seriously, of late he's been on the social circuit, armed with a laugh and those soft, empathic turquoise eyes.

B.K.A.: Ronald Bilius Weasley, owner of all things rubbish and faithful companion to Harry Potter.

A.K.A.: ”Permless Boy” dubbed this as his normally smooth hair was chemically curled for his role in the movie Thunderpants.

Image hosted by TinyPic.com

Star-gazing: August 24, 1988 ~~ The responsibility shirking VIRGO is better suited with lots of room –- and encouragement -- to work // natives of this sign enthusiastically take on new ideas, but rarely ever change a style or way of thinking that is comfortable to them // their constant laid-back, almost shy nature belies the desire to be out-going, fun-loving and sociable // while female Virgoans have a flair for fashion, the males tend to be the exact opposite, keeping their appearance as moderate and plain as possible.

Year of the Dragon: Dragons are well known for their bravery, honesty, but above all, the ability to inspire trust in even the wariest of people. They are easily excitable and tend to loan themselves to events promising fun and lots of energy. The strong, silent type, they may sometimes seem a bit distant even in their friendliness, carefully shielding a soft heart behind a cool exterior.

Image hosted by TinyPic.com

Before He Was ‘Ron’: Rupert had only participated in a few small school plays before being cast in Harry Potter // his biggest ambition –- which he still admits to having –- is to be an ice cream man.

Two Peas in a Pod: He cites the character of Ron as his motivation for trying out for the part. Aside from the fact that both are red heads with a fair few siblings, they share a penchant for sweets and are not too fond of eight-legged creatures.

Image hosted by TinyPic.com

American Idol: He admires Jim Carrey for his versatility and genuine comic timing // in his love of all things clownish, Rupert purchased a unicycle, though in two years, he’s only successfully managed six revolutions before falling.

The Dark Half: Although always up for a good laugh, Rupert also has taken a keen liking to the King of Macabre, Stephen King, of course // Beyond playing sweet, affable Ron, Rupert would love for his next project to be the opportunity to take on something with a little more bite –- like portraying a serial killer.

Jason Isaacs

* Why We're Jonesin' for JASON *

With a carefully crafted glee hidden expertly beneath a crisp layer of smug, it's no wonder movie-goers have come to love and know Jason as the actor who plays Bad Guys so good. It also doesn't hurt that this charming British gent knows just when the flash his slightly smirky yet beguiling smile; a certain twinkle in his cornflower blue eyes, as hinting at ongoing mischief -- or possibly poised to deliver a very innocent *wink!* Fans of Lucius Malfoy have been practically on the edge of their seats salivating to see more of him since his brief, but chilling stint in The Chamber of Secrets. Hopefully new HP director won't fail to deliver more of what we're waiting for -- a delicious, heaping slice of Malfoy Malice.

B.K.A.: Lucius Malfoy, supposed former Death Eater, Slytherin for life.

A.K.A.: "The Dark Knight," for his wonderfully cool portrayal of seductive villans.

Image hosted by TinyPic.com

World Debut: June 6, 1963 ~~ GEMINIS can be devastatingly disarming -- and dangerous-- with their love of flirtation // one born under this restless sign plays life as a game and constantly surround themselves with new people to keep it fresh and entertaining // Geminians are often silver-tongued and skilled at most things requiring speech and persuasion, though the intellectual pursuits of these things they do not take to heart: debaters, diplomats, orators, preachers, teachers, authors, poets, journalists, or lawyers // they find a natural mystery and intrigue -- instead of fear -- in dabblings of the dark arts // lazy in matters of amour as well as life, these lovers are slow to shift into commitment and sometimes quickly cool after a temporary depth of feeling, causing even the most hopeless of romantics to behave their hearts.

Year of the Rabbit: Though genuinely fond of gossip, these people are admired for being virtuous and tactful. They seldom lose their temper and have a love of storytelling, which make them the most sought after of social creatures. They avoid gambling even though they have a talent for turning luck on its head, choosing instead to always keep their wits about them.

Image hosted by TinyPic.com

Before He Was 'Lucius': He showed shadows of Malfoy Machismo in his earlier portrayal of the ambitious Lord Felton ( --isn't that interesting?) opposite Sean Connery in Dragonheart and the deliciously sadistic British Colonel William Tavington pitted against Mel Gibson in the Revolutionary War drama The Patriot.

Gift of Gab: Jason had actually obtained a law degree when, as a gag, he decided to audtion for a spot in a prestigeous London drama school, thus denying the world his courtroom antics.

Image hosted by TinyPic.com

Always the Gentleman: He has appeared in numerous films without credit, including Resident Evil (narrator/doctor) and Elektra, in which his character quickly meets a sticky end at the blade protagonist's sai within the first ten minutes of the movie // Jason played the roles of both Mr. Darling and Captain Hook in the 2003 adaptation of Peter Pan (starring opposite Jeremy Sumpter) at a self-imposed pay reduction in the spirit of Christmas.

You Can Quote Me on That: Almost rivaling his sophisticated brand of playboy charm, Jason is quickly becoming infamous for his slightly scathing commentary on the super unimportance of actors and his hilariously self-depricating interviews. He's been known to dish a few quirky quotes, including one in which he makes a lengthy note of appreciation in the physical changes of his younger cast members, describing co-star Rupert Grint as a 'great big hunk of man.'

Thomas Andrew Felton

* Why We Find TOM Titillating *

From the smirk of delightful haughtiness, the sneer of reproachfulness, to the slow, easy curl of his lips, having these things described to you, you know instantly who has arrived on the screen without even looking. Whether you love to hate him -- or hate to love him -- the pretentious, snarling drawl of Draco Malfoy was first brought to life four years ago by then 11-year-old Tom Felton (a movie veteran in his own right) and since then, neither our world nor Harry Potter's has been quite the same. Professed lover of all things in the sea, Tom claims to be nothing like the uber-snooty Slytherin. Wielding a disarming smile and inviting periwinkle eyes, Tom's started a following that's even alarmed The Queen of Potterverse herself. With J.K. openly bemoaning the fact that legions of girls are skipping over Harry to get a little taste of Draco, doth Tom protest too much?

B.K.A.: Draco Malfoy, the deliciously snarky arch-enemy of boy wonder Harry Potter.

A.K.A.: "Hitler's Chosen Youth," due to his character's striking Aryan features and elitist beliefs.

Image hosted by TinyPic.com

Star Gazing: September 22, 1987 ~~ VIRGOS easily conceal their natural emotions behind matter-of-factness and quiet reserve // though unassuming and mostly introverted, they tend to take on interests which place them centerstage and under watchful eyes // both sexes are considered extremely charming and high-minded, which may make the male Virgoan appear effeminate when he is not // their love making is a perfection of technique rather than the expression of desire, so enflamed passionate lovers, beware!

Year of the Rabbit: Born in this year are articulate, talented, and ambitious people. Their reserved nature lends to quiet hobbies requiring silence, reflection and thought. They make very few promises and never go back on them.

Image hosted by TinyPic.com

Before He Was 'Draco': He got in quite a bit of practice on his pre-Slytherin 'tude as the precocious Louis Leonowens in the movie Anna and the King, starring Jodie Foster and Chow Yun-Fat.

Voice Like an Angel: He once sang in multiple ensembles simultaneously and was offered a place in the prestigeous Guildford Choir.

Image hosted by TinyPic.com

Second Best: Though his willingness to don the famous green contacts and round glasses made him a strong candidate for The Boy Who Lived, the casting director felt Tom's look was more heartthrob than heart-wrenching. Not to be put off, an indignant and slightly fuming Tom returned the next day and was rewarded the role of Draco Malfoy.

All Bark...: Due to Tom's easy-going nature, older brother Chris purposefully agitates him off camera to provoke the classic Draco sneering and snarling.

Image hosted by TinyPic.com

Prince Charming: He has his mother accompany him during autograph sessions to ensure that he maintains himself as a "proper gentleman."

His Quirks: Once he'd heard the movie buzz over Harry Potter, he made it a point not to read the books. He felt it was better to go into the casting call with no expectations and little pressure // his patented smirk is a product of his unconscious habit of making faces.
